I’ve missed posting a couple of weeks of menu plans but I’ve still been pretty good about doing them on paper which has been great. I’ve actually tried quite a few new recipes too. My next challenge is to use new recipes from my many, many cookbooks instead of always just printing new ones off the web all the time. Anyway, without further ado, here’s this week’s plan…
Monday- Spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread
Tuesday- Potato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches
Wednesday- Rotini, butter and parmasean cheese
Thursday – Italian Sausage Sandwich Casserole (a new recipe for me- I’ll post the link later!)
Friday – Leftover buffet
Saturday – Chicken Pot Pie
There were lots of good deals at Shoprite last week (and looks like more good one’s this week), but I’ll save that for another post. I’m finally starting to get stocked up again, thank goodness. I also truley discovered www.supercook.com this week. Its been a link on my sidebar for months because someone told me about it but I never really got to try it out till this weekend. Basically, it lets you type in the ingredients you have in your fridge/freezer/pantry and it gives you a list of what you can make with what you have…which makes it really easy to use up what you have if you want to skip a week of grocery shopping. You can click on certain ingredients if you definately want to use them and it will put recipes with those ingredients on top of the list. Also, the recipes are ordered so that the ones on top are the ones you can make with what you have on hand and then ones you only need one ingredient to make, then ones you only need two items to make and so on. Its great, give it a try!
